lymph system

The lymph system is responsible for:
(1) Removal of interstitial fluid from tissues.
(2) Absorbsing and transports fatty acids and fats as chyle from the circulatory system.
(3) Transporting WBCs to and from the lymph nodes into the bones.
(4) Transporting antigen-presenting cells (APCs), such as dendritic cells, to the lymph nodes where an immune response is stimulated.
The rate of flow is about 4 litres in 24 hours
